Yup I really am. However I believe I should have been 3-0. Horrid, horrid goaltending in the Flyers game and then the Ducks blow a 2-0 lead at home, which is unacceptable. They took so many stupid penalties. Ah well. Even on the week overall, back to work tomorrow and hopefully no donkey bs tomorrow. Up on the day still thanks to the Suns 2nd half

Tampa Bay and Washington are both playing goaltenders (Varlamov and Smith) coming off injuries and long breaks. Both should be sieves. It's too bad the total is 6.5 because I can't stand playing totals that high but you can hammer the over 1.5 in the 1st despite the big juice (-160).

Nothing else out there I love. Maybe small plays on Pitt to get it done at the garden and San Jose to tear the frenchies a new one, -1.5. What say you DG?

I'm thinking of taking Capitals -1.5 at even odds, they just own the Tampa at home.

NYI vs ATL Over 5.5 (-127) Pinnacle $127 to win $100
The last time these two teams met up the Isles came away with a 6-5 victory. Hedberg and Roloson were in net that game and they will be back in for tonight's game. 2 of the 3 meetings this year the total has gone over and the over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings overall. Neither team plays great defensive hockey so there should be a lot of goals scored tonight in this one.

TAM vs WAS Over 1.5 (1st) (-140) Pinnacle $140 to win $100
It's a lot of juice to be paying but with the total at 6.5 there is good value here with only 2 goals needed to win. The 1st period over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. The Caps are the highest scoring 1st period team in the NHL and the Lightning are a respectable 13th. Smith and Varlamov will be the goalies and Smith has been hot and cold all year and Varlamov has showed signs of rust since returning. The Caps are 7-1 for the over playing on no rest and are usually explosive early at home.

WAS -1.5 (+101) vs TAM Pinnacle $100 to win $100
The Caps are 9-1 vs the Bolts in the last 10 meetings with 8 of those wins coming by 2 goals or more. The Lightning are an awful road team and the Caps are probably the best home team in the NHL. With Varlamov back in net and giving the Caps such much needed stability between the pipes the Caps should cover the PL tonight at home.

CAR (-105) vs OTT Pinnacle $105 to win $100
The Hurricanes have been playing phenomenal hockey as of late and sit only 8 points back of the last playoff spot in the East. They have won 6 straight overall and are 6-0 in their last 6 home games knocking off top teams like Buffalo, New Jersey and Chicago in that span. Meanwhile the Sens have been plugging along going 3-3 in their last 6 and really aren't in danger of missing the playoffs so I really like the desperation factor Carolina should have tonight over the Sens. Carolina is 4-0 vs the Sens in their last 4 games at home.

They may be a play or two for the late games as well. These are my early selections. GL tonight everyone!

This one was a tough game for me to pick that's why I laid off today. I really couldn't tell you who I expect to win. Pens should win but the Rangers need the 2 points a lot more so they will probably play desperate hockey. I could see the game going to OT so I might throw a few bucks on the tied after regulation option if you have that for fun mostly. Other than that tough game to predict what will happen.

Those a-hole Caps had to tease me like that. Up 4-2 with 10 minutes to play then two quick ones by Tampa then a quick one by the Caps to make it 5-4 but no clutch empty netter by Ovie

All in all a successful night and finally the first journey of the season to the elusive 4k club
