Still loving the Senators. Playing them to win the series, making my biggest wager of the year on Ottawa tonight M/L.

I have been waiting for weeks for this.

I played Sens at +130 a few days ago before the price drop, but my favorite play in this game right before faceoff was Ottawa -1 +254.

Buffalo's PP unit looks terrible so far. Ottawa's looked pretty good.

This was a BIG night for me. While I usually wager $200 - $500 on a game I am also a "Shot taker".
I've been waiting for this game for weeks and used 3 books to get almost $7500 on the moneyline for the Senators.
While the game opened at Ott +130, I never bet a penny as I waited to get closer to game time before betting so much $$,
so when I bet it today I got +120.

I beleive Ottawa is superior. Goaltending has been adequate at both ends, Miller is over rated.

The way I saw this game was an Ottawa team that is offensively powerful and defensively solid. When Ottawa made a mistake the Sabres were there to pounce and take advantage of it. Buffalo has speed and are dangerous at times.

Power play Buffalo : Terrible! - two short handed breakaways by Ottawa and a short handed goal allowed.
Power play Ottawa: needs improving - sub par.

Ottawa has a bad habit of coasting when they get a lead. I believe athe Sabres will play much better in game two, although I won't be betting as I cashed on game one and have a 1k wager going on the series to keep me interested.

Game three in Ottawa will be all Senators! Again I might make a small bet, but my season is getting close to the end. I'll make a decent sized bet on Ott to win the cup and watch from now on.

PS: I still can't believe there were those who thought Pittsburgh could beat this team in the first round.

Since I know very little about basketball and football and I am a poor handicapper at anything but hockey (& I have no opinion on Det - Ana) its time to pack it in until the next NHL season starts.
