Lightning -234 at Caps
Game Time: 2/15/2007 7:30:00 PM

Lay the big chalk and back the Tampa Bay Lightning at home this evening when they host the Washington Capitals.
It took them awhile to get going, but right now pretty much everything’s going the Lightning’s way.
They’re scoring in bunches and playing solid defense and they’ve finally settled on a No. 1 goalie in Johan Holmqvist. Tampa Bay lost eight of nine during a rough stretch in December but since then they're 17-7, including 8-2 over their past 10 games.
The Caps, who are 3-7 in their last 10 games, are struggling defensively. They rank 27th in the NHL in goals against, they're 30th in shots against and they are 30th in shutouts (none). We're laying some big lumber here, but it's worth it.
