Two teams in the second night of back to backs. TBL and CGY, I don’t expect either team to have their legs in the first period and by the time the Lightning and the Penguins go to first intermission, the pens could be up by 2 goals to nil.
The Flames might be in it, they put some pucks in net last night against the Rangers and it’s a short bus ride from Madison Square Garden to the Hilton a block away from The Rock in Newark. The Devils have been playing good hockey, and should take the first period, however the Flames may have their legs and be in the game right from the start.
I’ll play the Penguin’s in the first period, and follow the line and projected goalies on the Devils Flames game if it moves in favor of the Devils I’ll take.
I also like the Wild. The Canucks are playing well, however, they haven’t beaten anybody yet, losing to the surprising Sabres who looked like the Cup champs last night while they defeated the Lightning, and the Canucks lost to the Red Wings another surprise early in our favorite season of the year.
The only somebody that the Wild have beaten is the Flyers in a tough 6-5 match. Cam Talbot is standing on his head and for a minute I thought I was watching Devin Dubnyk in Cam’s last game, Talbot had Sunday off and the Wild in their 2nd of a back to back ( both games in Minnesota ) on Sunday were down 3 goals before they began to skate.
I’m betting on Cam and the Wild to take a Puckline Win from the Cannucks.
Tonight is the first of a road trip back to back for VGK, first they’re facing the Avalanche and then tomorrow night they face the relentless Jamie Benn and the Stars. As of now Khudobin is projected for the net. Stars should be a good first period play with a relentless Jamie Benn waking up the Golden Knights on the boards.
Good Luck
