Nhl All-star Game Opinions Wanted

There is no such thing as "value" in all-star games Dan, as they are nothing but glorified exhibition games. I suggest NEVER betting on them myself, as most of the time the players don't even care who wins or loses. This is even more true in this modern era of mega-million dollar contracts, as players are more concerned with just not getting injured.

There sorta is in the NHL all-star game though. More than not the team that wins always wins by more than 2 goals.

i also like the east and the under -15.5. Imagine the posibility of crosby, ovenchen and briere line. I give the edge on ofense and goaltending to the east and i give the defensive edge to the west.

The West has the edge in defense, but they don't play defense in the All-Star game. It is an unspoken rule that you pretty much skate backwards on defense and let the offense put on a show. The only players who play hard in the All-Star game are the young guys looking to make their name. Think Heatley a few years back. The East has by far the better young talent, speed, and skill. If you are going to play this game play the East.

I don't know much about hockey, didn't grow up with it 'in my blood,' so to speak. But I watched a little bit of that game from midway in the second period to the early third, and that was the most boring, lackluster, sorry excuse for a sporting event I've seen since the 1978 Combination Synchronized Swimming / Underwater Basketweaving Throwdown between Macedonia and Chile

Funny, in the 10 - 9 young stars game (Kopitar 2G 3A!), Malkin had 0G 0A and was the only player in the damn game that went scoreless. Who'd have taken the UNDER on 1 point between these two? (That would have been about +15000)

0G from Crosby, Lecavlier, Hossa, Shanahan, and Gagne very, very surprising.

Judging a game by its all star game is absolutely criminal.
