    Totals vs Sides?
Which is easier to win long term, especially when the odds are stacked against us?

Picking sides is more fun to me but I rather make money...

I'm not a pro, so tail at your own risk but I like some road dogs tonight:

    Philly +170 and Avs +130

seen some guys on SBR that have more of a knack for Totals, in various sports

Myself since joining the site, terrible record for Totals in all sports, Baseball, Football, and now Hockey. I'm stubborn and keep trying to turn-it around, but recently for hockey I realize better for me personally to not keep picking and losing them.....same thing I did late in the baseball season. All of my tracking threads would have been more profitable if I never picked a Total, that's just me but that's a fact when looking objectively at my records.

Ok so when I try to figure out a reason for this, partly in baseball, and moreso in hockey, there is a high luck-factor or call it randomness that occurs in the games. Its difficult to put this into words, but if you talk to anyone that knows sports, think they'd agree in general.

right now, Oilers get a late goal on a weird deflection off a defender and off a player's head

No, its not an excuse. Its part of the game. If they didn't score that way, woulda been another way perhaps.
