    Game Fixed?
Did anyone see the lines drop right before the game. BIG MONEY WAITED until the last moment, when PITSBURGH line was +200 +220 and dropped alot of moneyon Pitsburgh. The line went down to +185 Any thoughts?

Smart money does this all the time. The odds were very favorable for Pit, and to my understanding there were a lot of sharps that took futures on Detroit when the series was tied at 2-2. The odds were at -140, and thats were I got my tip from. Sharps were free rolling when they got Pit at +200 and up... I should have done it as well.

I think you have to look at it this way also, for anyone who liked Pittsburgh. This was basically like making a series bet and wasn't PIT like +155 for the series before the series began? So you had at minimum +170 for the game, which gave you better odds than the series bet. So if you truly thought they could win, you got a better deal and especially let most of the public hammer Detroit and got yourself an even better price.

How do you go from 5-0 to 1-2. It looked like detroit didn't wanna play at all..except for a late surge. And why didn't handycappers catch on to your theory?

Fixed? Oh and Detroit meant to hit the crossbar near the end? Give me a break.

It was just one of those games. Detroit started out overconfident. Probably because home teams had won every game, and because home teams have a huge edge for games 7. They had a 18-8 shot advantage in the last two periods, but still only tied for those. It happens. That's hockey. Just too bad for Detroit that it was in this game.

The ice may have been in bad shape. A lot of simple passes jumped right over sticks. But it came down to an inch, at the end, with that shot at the crossbar. If the game goes OT, Detroit wins.

Pittsburgh must be this year's luckiest sports town. First the Steelers with a Superbowl win by an inch, and now the Penguins with another inch.

At -180 the value was with the home team in game 7, as far as I'm concerned. The result doesn't change that.
