What game were you watching? The ref's let `em bounce, bang and push a little the first two games. Don't fault the Wings for being better and able to adjust to the call of the official. Face it, PIT is toast and is the Wings bitch AGAIN. Oh, you know what should happen to Malking for getting an instigator penalty within the last five minutes of the game, right? One game suspension according to the rulebook if so deemed. If that happens, I sure would hate to be a Penguin fan for game three. Congrats on making it to the finals but, you're done.

        Malkin won't be suspended.

        Pens outplayed the Wings.

His cheap shot ass should be and you know it. Will it happen, let's wait and see but in either case it's a no win situation for DET.

Please put down the crack pipe. Scoreboard says DET is up 2 games to ZIP. I wonder aloud if they sweep `em?

            It's hockey, don't be such a vag.

They are up two games, but the Pens played pretty damn good in those two games, and deserved a better fate.

Oh no a cheap shot name being called by a PIT backer/fan, what should I do?
Never said PIT didn't play well , just that their effort wasn't good enough where it counted the most (scoreboard each game). They're still not ready based on what I've seen these last two games and right now I'd move CHI ahead of them as to who will be the next solid team for years AFTER DET doesn't get the job done anymore.

Eh, we will see how good Chicago is when they have to pay someone, and when Brian Campbell's contract really starts to be an albatross.

I'm sure they'll find a way if they want him around.

He won't be suspended. Colin Campbell confirmed this.

that's a stretch. I admit that Pit is getting chances and are not yet broken. The problem is that the more aggressive you are offensively against Detroit the faster you lose.
I would suggest any team, esp Pit to control the puck anywhere on the ice. Do not rush towards the net when numbers don't favor you.
Let the Wings be the aggressor and counter attack. This is where Pit stars can shine.

Yes, I agree, controlling the puck is key. One and done offensive opportunities are not the way to beat Detroit. Cycling down low, using the points as outlets, and creating traffic in front of the net is the way to get to Detroit, although easier said than down. Detroit just doesn't allow quick rushes, they are very good in transition defense.

Puck control also doesn't allow Detroit to play offense.

Here we go. PIT were "unlucky". The results were "unjust". They "deserved better". The scales did not tip in their favor. The margins went the other way. And so on, and so on.

The fact is, if you weren't able to beat the other team by the final buzzer, you weren't good enough. Simple as that. At any rate a 7-game series is hardly luck based.

I too wonder if DET will sweep this one ... I doubt it, surely DET will give up one of the next two games. But if Osgood continues his form in Pittsburgh, and DET continue to score 3+ a game, well, 4-0 and gooodbyyyyyye penguins it is.
