Are the Bruins in trouble??

I'm hoping they are going to bounce back in game 4. They need to stop making the mistakes they made in games 2 and 3. Bad giveaways, led to scoring chances/goals for Carolina.

I don't really know what to think right now though. Game 4 is going to be huge. The Bruins know they can dominate this team, they did it all season, but anyone will tell you the playoffs are a brand new season.

I really hope the Bruins show up for game 4 and play their best game of the playoffs. If they don't, they yes they are in trouble.

Maybe, I still think they are a far superior team to Carolina. But Tim Thomas has always struck me as a goaltender who could be solved in a seven game series. His style is unorthodox, but with repetition his unorthodoxy, I believe, can be made into a weakness.

Are they in trouble? Yes.

Does that mean they can't win this series? Of course not.

It's true that Boston domintated Carolina in the regular season but ALL of the games came in the first 2/3rd's of the season. Since their last meeting in the regular season, Carolina went 17-7, second in the East only to Pittsburgh for best record down the stretch. This is a different Hurricane team than the one they faced during the regular season.

This series has shown that at this point in time there isn't much seperating the two teams. Boston has the horse on defence, while Carolina has their's at center. Goaltending is a wash with both keepers capable of winning one on their own. Boston dominated game one, but have been outplayed for long stretches in the next two games. When outplayed the way the Bruins have been for those stretches there is no question that they are no sure thing to come out ahead in this series.

If the Boston team that played the first 1/2 of the season re-appears, they are the better team and will win. If it doesn't, they might be playing golf by next weekend.
