Wow! Talk about an overreaction from game 2!
Boston dominated this series in the regular season handily. Two 4-2 wins, two 5-1 wins. They dominated game one, but then dropped game two.
After five straight wins against Carolina and five straight wins in the playoffs, Boston was due to have an off game. The Lakers just lost at home to the Rockets, didn't they? These things happen.
I'm not taking anything away from Carolina. They are a feisty, gritty team and Cam Ward is a great playoff goaltender. They have a lot of guys from the core that won them the cup a few years ago, and they aren't the type of team to go down without a fight.
All that said, Boston matches up perfectly with these guys. Both teams roll deep scoring lines, both teams rely on great goaltending, Boston plays the same brand of hockey better.
Moneyline -120, Puckline +250, this is a severe overreaction. Yes, I know, Nicky Curse, blah blah. This isn't baseball, I've been pretty spot on in these playoffs so far. Take a stab on Boston.
