#2'Canada's Team' will take game 1 and the series. CBC has paid the refs already as insurance.
Vancouver matches up well with the hawks. Chi has lots of young speedy forwards but vancouver defence/goaltender will slow them down, alot. Chicago's fast breaks will open up chances on the other side and the Bulin wall comes crumbling down.
Canucks have better Defence, Goaltending, Grit and Experience. Plus home ice advantage. Chicago has better scoring but Luongo evens the playing field. Canucks win games 1,2,4&5.Comment -

Canucks are not Canada's team, southern Ontario has many Detroit Red wings fans as Detroit is nearby, plus many east coasters are Bruins fans, while I only hate one team in the NHL (les habitants) obnoxious Canucks fans are making it easy to not want to cheer for their team.
The Blue Jays are Canadas team.

#5What about the Toronto Bills?
I'm sick of the lack of respect we get from the east. Toronto may be the centre of the universe but it's still a sh!thole. If the Leafs were the last Canadian team standing I'd have your back. Even the Flames. Just not those dirty Frenchies. I'm not fooled by thier name.
Southern Ontarians who are wings fans are bandwagoners. If the Leafs where competitive and Detroit had a high draft pick you wouldn't see em. Detroit is a bigger sh!thole than tee dot.Comment -

#6LOL, no point trying to change your mind on the Canucks, but they are Canada's only hope THIS YEAR. Agree with you on the Bluejays, they are off to a hot start, hopefully we can sneak in the wildcard spot this year somehow.Originally posted by betplomCanucks are not Canada's team, southern Ontario has many Detroit Red wings fans as Detroit is nearby, plus many east coasters are Bruins fans, while I only hate one team in the NHL (les habitants) obnoxious Canucks fans are making it easy to not want to cheer for their team.

#8The puck drops soon and hopefully a great game tonight. Vancouver is rested while Chicago is still working with adrenaline. How do you see that working for each team tonight?
Can't wait to watch the game. I thought that Vancouver would be favored more so than they are for the series.
Good luck on your wagers, guysComment -

#14I just hope Chicago makes a series out of it. I see Hawks scoring only 1-2 goals per game if Canucks don't go to the penalty box too often.Comment -

#23Hawks line has dropped and looks like the market likes them. Personally, I do think there's solid value on Canucks ml -133 in game one. Canucks are well rested, they have home advantage and Luongo is slightly better goalie out of the two IMHO. Both teams are pretty equal. I like the way Hawks have played and I'm sure many people like them today because they've got good rhythm going on. I couldn't find any historical data to suggest layoff effecting home teams negatively at all, so I kind of like the rest factor for Vancouver. This will most probably come down to goaltending. Historically home teams have done well in game 1's at this stage of playoffs and Vancouver has been strong at home this season.
I may be wrong, but my fair line is around -160 Canucks.Comment -

#28I think so too Dwight. However I can see the Hawks winning a pair though based on the motivation they receive when they play at the UC and I also thonk Khabibulin will be tough enough throughout to push it to six games. Quennville is a very good coach as well.
