Did you see that? I don't get it. I'm new to NHL and maybe I'm naive, but I've never seen such a crooked game in all my life.
Does anyone else think the Bruins/Panthers game was fixed?

#4Seems like they weren't even trying to conceal it. I mean, they can at least try and pretend like it's not fixed. Leave a little mysteryComment -

#16All leagues have previously had and will continue to have fixed games. A fixed game could mean any number of things. A ref or ump could be in on it and give favorable calls to one side. A player or players could be in on it an intentionally throw the game or adjust the total. A betting syndicate could threaten a player or team to do a certain action or else they will harm said person(s) or their family. A league could intentionally fix a game through use of biased replays like the example you posted in the video etc.
Just pay attention to any NFL game where a good team is playing an average team. Pay attention to how the teams like Patriots, Steelers, Packers, Seahawks etc. almost always get the 50/50 calls, pass interference, roughing the passer etc. while the other teams almost never get these same calls on similar plays. Same thing in hockey. Pay attention to the amount of powerplays that certain teams gets, like the Penguins, Caps, Blackhawks etc. they always get the calls while other teams don't. Same thing in baseball, pay attention to how guys like Bumgarner, Wainwright and back in the day Maddux, Clemens etc. always got the calls on the black while other teams didn't. Maddux used to get calls up to 6 inches off the plate.
There are examples of fixed games in every league. Blacksox scandal in MLB. Spygate and tuck rule for Pats in NFL. Tim Donaghy ref scandal in NBA. San Diego St. point shaving in NCAAB. Tennis players from Italy rigging games and that doubles match in Aussie Open this year in tennis. World cup stuff in soccer that Interpol investigated and determined shady activity in hundreds of soccer matches over a time span. Every league is dirty and corrupt at least to some level. Some more than others. Just pay attention, it's so obvious. Having said all that, I think the NHL is the cleanest major sport right now. Very few fixed NHL games. That video you posted was somewhat inconclusive. I could see why they would rule that a no goal.Comment -

#17That video doesn't actually show it well. I assure you there was an angle it was clearly a goal. Anyway great post and insight.Comment -

Just watching from personal experience. There have never been any indications or accusations. Plus majority of players are Canadian.
Now, seen the fix in Olympic hockey. Refs were paid obviously to let US win in the gold medal woman's game. In Utah iirc. But even with all the penalty calls made against Canada, Canada still won.
thanks for the point habitualComment -
