Historically a high-scoring series, play the over tonight in the Thrashers, Capitals game in DC.
This has been an extremely high-scoring series. Both games this year have resulted in identical scores of 4-3. Those results brought the over to a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings, with those four games avergaging eight goals each.
Looking back further we find that eight of the past 10 meetings have finished above the number. Those 10 games averaged a whopping 7.9 goals per game.
The Thrashers come off a 5-2 loss to the defending champs while the Capitals come off a 4-2 victory over Calgary. Note that Washington has seen the over go a healthy 19-7 (73%) the last 26 times that it scored four or more goals in its previous games. Expect another high-scoring affair this evening.
