Hear me out. Game 3 of a 3 game road trip, with the first 2 being losses, giving up 6 goals in each, to Arizona and Buffalo. Looks bad. But Condon started in those. Scrivens goes tonight, who has won his last 3 starts, and posted a February 2.03 GAA and .934 Sv%. The team has an above median PP/PK rating for the season and has improved in February by 3.7%. The Av's are back at home for 1 game and then head out again for a road game on Saturday. Varlamov starts tonight after getting pulled in his last start after letting in 2 goals on 2 shots, a 4-1 loss to Buffalo. He is 2-3 in Feb with a 3.45 GAA and a .902 Sv%. This team has lost 4 straight at home and has posted a miserable -7.7% Shot Diff in February. Their PP/PK rating has sunk 8.3% this month. I see some Hab pride kicking in with this one after getting worked by the Yotes and Sabres.
