Tuesday NHL Picks - With Reasoning!
    Hello All,
Back from a quick trip; Welcome to the 2nd Half!

My 15-16 NHL Record: 26-30 (all dogs), Avg. Wager +133, 8.2% Return on Total Money at Risk.

    Tuesday:

    Florida +145
The Panthers have about a median PP/PK rating and are on the road against the highest rated total/January/Home composite PP/PK rating team in the Capitals. Tall Order. A few reasons to back the road dog: Holtby isn't playing. Ovechkin isn't playing. Loungo is resting too, but the last time Montoya faced the Caps (Dec 10th) he stopped 95% of their shots and won the game 4-1, against the Caps back up tonight, Grubauer. The Caps have only played one game since Jan 19th(two postponements due to weather) and it was an OT loss at home to the Flyers. Panthers won 3 in row going into the break, beating both Chicago and Tampa. I'll take the dog money.

    Arizona +147
The Coyotes are below median on their PP/PK rating at the halfway point and are facing a 1st place Kings team that is trending down on this metric in January, but is still solidly in the top tier. Regardless, I see value in a live home dog, especially at +147; for a few reasons. These teams played on the 23rd of January in Arizona, same goalies, and the Coyotes took it 3-2. The Yotes have been wrecking the Pacific to the tune of 11-2-2, and they've owned the Kings so far at 3-0-1. The Kings play tonight on the road, go home for one on Thursday with the Ducks and then head out on a brutal 7 game, 11 day East Coast road trip. They might be looking forward. Worth a shot at that line, given how close the games have been between these two and how many times the Coyotes have come out on top.

    Good Luck
