Another bet I do a lot is the grand salami. It's offered on baseball and hockey at my book. Usually when I play it I like to play the total for the night and a lot of times I play the under. Reason being is naturally people love to see scoring. So much so that the over is taken a lot more than the under in games of all sports. It's just a fact that people love offense. That to me has proved time after time to show value in the under. Plus let's be honest if you take the under your usually in it most of the game and I just hate that feeling of oh shit I need 2 more scores or whatever. So with that said I didn't like any of the lines tonight all the home teams where tough. A few of them like the Ducks had a winning streak going into the break therefore I looked at the GS. My book has it at 64.5 -110. I'll take it so my play tonight is the GS U64.5 -110. Let's keep the winning streak going!

Down again so maybe fading me would be a good choice! I guess you can look at this pick many different ways but I see a lot of scoring right now why not ride the wave like we all do in baseball. I've never had a losing season but with that said I consider myself amateur. I started 3-4 years ago and really got involved the last two years. I will keep a thread on it just like I am here. Keep a watch for it and throw in some knowledge as we go! I'm not one of those people who thinks they are great for picking 51% haha I like to get other advice and leans and tweak my strategy as it moves on.

I also am very strict on units so a lot of times my record correlates very close with my account balance. Can't stand those that claim 55-65% winning but have a negative balance.

The over has been hitting a lot lately, if you have read above youll see that I dont like overs near as much as I do under but whatever gets that winning streak going is all that matters.

No it pays the same. So a lot of books are allowing it like the one I follow. 5dumes does as well I think. So when you go to parlays you can choose to keep 1 or 2 legs open which means if you win the first game you come back and pick another game later. You don't have to fill every leg of the parlay at once. so if I took a ML like today at -143 I've got to put down 143 to win 100 and if it losses damn that's a unit and a half down. But if I parlay it I'm only putting up a unit. Yes I have to hit 2 plays but with an open parlay I can play a game I like today and wait until I find another that I like. In the past I would have had to play the one I like with another game that I was pretty much flipping a coin on. I love the open parlay. I feel like it gives me a little bit better edge

Im sure someone may read that comment I made and think its a sucker bet and the dumbest thing they have heard, in my opinion there are a lot of ways to gamble and if you win its worth it and if you can make a long term win rate nothing is a sucker bet. For instance if you like to play teasers, some think that is a sucker bet, to me i think its a way to get two plays you like and still get better lines. I like open parlays because of what I told you, I can be selective with the picks and still get better odds PER GAME. Like I said yes I have to win multiple games (2,3) but I have a better chance to do so.

so do i have to choose how many games in the open parlay?
for example, if i take an afternoon game and then 1 later at 7pm. do i have close the parlay at 7pm? or add as many as i want for the 10pm games?

So with the book I follow you can pick to leave 1 or 2 open so the evening games you could pick 1 or 2 or ever how many you want initially, then once you confirm your bet you would have those you picked plus the 1 or 2 left open. The 7 pm games you could pick to close the one you have left or only fill one of the 2 you have open just what ever you chose. Like I do 2 team parlays with one open for instance two days ago I set up a 2 team parlay and picked the Rangers to start it, it hit and I closed it lastnight with the Hurricanes.
