    NHL Edges - Jan 15
    Dal -103
Dallas has the 2nd best goal differential in the NHL behind the Caps. They are also well rested having played last on Jan 9. This is a great price for a dominant team against the Ducks who still have not proved they can score consistently. I dont see them keeping up with the Stars in this game.

      Van/Car UNDER 1.5 1st Period -139
Carolina averages 1.02 goals/1st period this season (72.7% UNDER 1.5), lowest in the NHL. Van is at 1.488 (56.17%).
These teams are playing back to back games and both had to travel. I expect a slow start to this game and don't mind laying the -139 juice

      Pit/TB UNDER 1.5 1st Period -144
These teams are averaging 1.22 goals/1st period (65.4%) and 4.56/game (home/road) one of the lowest averages in the league. This should be a very tight game and wouldn't be surprised to see a 2-1 type final. Not a fan of laying UNDER 5 so I will pay the juice and take 1st period instead.

            Bos/Buf UNDER 1.5 1st Period -133
I was waiting for this line to open and knew I would take an under at -140 or better, once again would rather lay a 1st period, heres why.
Buffalo has the WORST home offense in the NHL at 1.96 goals/game and only averaging 1.2 goals/first period (65.9%). Boston can score on the road however their defense is quite stout only allowing 2.21 goals/game.

I'm not comfortable taking UNDER 5 as Buf has shown the willingness to pull the goalie in 4-1 games and that seems likely in this matchup
