New trend in NHL, pulling goalie down 3 goals?

Wondering if this is becoming a new trend in the NHL. As discussed before I have seen Roy doing this for some time, but just now SJ was down 4-1 vs Pit and they pulled the goalie with about 4mins left, and ended 5-1

Ive been watching hockey for years and have never seen this except from Roy. Maybe if the team down 3 goals is on a late PP, then they would pull the goalie, but never 6 on 5
This could seriously affect totals and create some great live betting opportunities.

I've seen it in cup games obviously but never season games

yea ive only seen it in playoffs or at the end of the season when teams are desperate for points. usually its when teams have a powerplay. roy did it with 10 minutes left last week against sens on the powerplay too. hes an aggressive coach who needs some wins given the standings...don't expect too many coaches to do it until april
