Punched Talbot in the back of the head with 6 second left in the game. Apparently the NHL sent out a memo that there should be no "message sending" in games that have already been decided. I think that this fits that concept well.

I don't like him either, I still can't figure out that trade. Upshall was extremely effective on the third line, Carcillo is the type of guy that hurts a team more than helps it.

agree but i did some research....upshall is the type of player phoenix needs and the type gretzky looks for, upshall fits perfectlly in that club, as for Carcillo he is a scrappy player, and thats all philly is about, and its upsetting anymore....im really debating on finding a new team.

Basically the league is just trying to set a precedent to every team that they aren't going to put up with unnecessary nonsense in the final few minutes. However, if it were Crosby that did it, he wouldn't get a suspension...

I dunno if I agree with trying to cut out the hooliganish stuff at the end though... all it does is create hype and fan support making more people want to watch... isn't that what the NHL should be trying to do?? Make hockey more popular in the U.S.?
