Just had one of the best games in the history of the NHL by a goalie.

He made all kinds of ridiculous saves from a variety of positions to repeatedly rob the Sharks.

Nabakov was beaten a few times but was very fortunate to receive some lucky bounces.

    0-0 game.

Ends in a shootout, which doesn't mean much to me.

I think Colorado would've won had they kept playing.

I know shootouts are exciting, but I prefer ties. It's fairer.

That was painful to watch! I would have enjoyed it if I didn't have money on SJ -1.5. I think I have bet the Sharks 4 times and gone 1-3 so they are pretty much my least favorite team now. No way they get anywhere near the cup in my opinion. Fighting for playoff position and they can't score on a horrible team that started 4 FOUR rookie defensemen.

Absolutely killed me. I had the night handicapped well but because of the stupid shootout, I end up down.

I figured Colorado would outplay San Jose.

Hey BB you should bet at ladbrokes, woulda gota freebet, axe plomer

As far as shootouts go, Im in favor of a second, 3 on 3, 5 min OT then a shootout. Loser goes home i.e. W/L... no f-in bonus point...

Maybe regulation ML's are worth a look next year? At least you would of got a push off of Budaj's exellent play? Watdya think yisman?

Anyone watch the Canucks/Flames game tonight?
Never seen a better clinic of greeat goaltening live in my life..

yeah, I should start ignoring OT/SO. It's a bunch of crap.

The reason I use ot included is because the lines are easier to find.

I hate it when books include OT and SO nonsense in the total/spread. It's unfair.

Bets should be graded on regulation, unless it's ML, and then it should be OT included.

This was my first season of betting NHL. I started off well but tailed off badly at the end of the season. Too many bets and not sticking to the basic system which is basically guaranteed to make a profit if you have a decent idea about the NHL.

It's not much of a secret. Ignore totals, pucklines, props, and Grand Salami. Every day, look at all teams +180 or more and pick out ones you feel have a realistic chance of winning. Pick them. Use Matchbook or Pinnacle. High juice books will obviously make it much more difficult to make a profit using this method.

If you want to get creative, you can also include some favorite MLs and lesser underdogs. Just do not touch anything -250 or worse.

          ====

as for vancouver/calgary, I saw a few minutes of it, including one of Luongo's great saves.

            Regulation Totals would be sweet
and what about prop bets involving shots on goal? Do those exist anywhere?

It would be retarded to predict but a +3 or +7 SOG would be intriguing...

I like your system tho, also my first season gambling on NHL and I always get screwed on those non ML bets.

            I WANT WINNERS!

            Just axe Samurai Mike...

Sorry for the NFL reference but I hear that in my head everytime I try and cap games...

Time for the best tournament in sports boys!

                ^ true.

BTW, Colorado last night was an excellent bet. Colorado in those situations this season was an easy bet for me this season. Remember when they won in Detroit? They do very well when they're +250 or more. The 2008-09 team, that is.

Funny thing is, if they play that game ten times, I think Colorado wins 6 of those. And they were +370 at one point last night (that was the peak. They were usually at +360 or +365).
