I'm leaning towards this as well, although the Leafs have been nothing but money on the puckline in the past month or two.

              Friday Picks

              TBL @ NJD, UNDER 5.5 (-115), -1.5 (-120)
              - Despite the current losing streak, the Devils are 4-1 in their last 5 home games, outscoring opponents 16-8 in that span. They're an entirely different team at home. Weekes is 2-0 against the Lightning this year, and with Lecavalier out for the season, TBL's offence just got even weaker. I chose the Puckline rather than the Moneyline for value, and I think NJD will really come to life in this game.

              BUF @ WAS (-180)
              - Varmalov has been outstanding for WAS. WAS is strong at home (28-11) and Buffalo is weak on the road (15-23). Bufalo definitely wants the win badly, but with the opponents they have to face in their final 6 games, I think them making it to the playoffs is unlikely.

              ATL @ FLO, OVER 6 (-115)
              - Florida is making a final surge to try to grab that last spot in the east. Both teams have been red hot. Florida is playing for a playoff spot and so will play an aggressive game. The over is 3-0 in H2H games this season and 4-1 for both teams in their last 5 games.

              CGY @ MIN, NO PLAY
              - CGY is 5-0 against MIN this year and the total has been a push in 4 out of those 5 games. However, CGY is 2-8 in the back end of B2B games this season. I like MIN to take one here, but it goes strongly against the trends, so it's a no play for me.

I like those pics suicidekings. Caution: ATL has been over 8 of last 10 but FLA is desperate for wins and may really run a shutdown so the over/under might be a no play. Similarly, if you're taking NJD -1.5 AND the under you are limiting yourself to a Weekes shut out, or if Tampa does score, you need a 3-1 or 4-1 NJD win. Very limited outcomes.

Agreed. I'll probably cut one of the NJD picks as they do go against each other. I can't decide which one I like better though. I'm leaning towards the puckline.

As for ATL, again I agree. However, despite how good Anderson has been, FLA has allowed an average of 37 shots per game in their last 5, whereas ATL has allowed only 26. That's too many chances to give to a high-octane offense like Atlanta. It will be on FLA to really push the pace and take it to ATL, concentrating on offense to get the W, or they'll get overrun. The more I think about this, the more I like Atlanta (+165)...

I can't see FLA letting this one slip. Hedberg in net. Plus:

Florida is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Atlanta
The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Florida's last 9 games when playing at home against Atlanta

I'm leaning to FLA ML but all the best

Over 35.5 on the Grand Salami tonight. Really don't see how these games could combine for less.

Calgary is seeking its first-ever season sweep of the Wild. Mikka Kiprusoff has played well for the Flames in goal even while they’re having trouble scoring themselves. However, they still have a good chance to finish first in the Northwest Division and have something to play for here. Minnesota is all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs and has little reason to put out a great effort tonight.

The Thrashers ML coming through made my night tonight, compensating for the Devils game that went very differently than I expected.
