Looking on to Thursday,
LAK @ PHX (-115), UNDER 5.5
- The Kings PP is running at 4-41 in their last 10 games. Their inability to score and Jonathon Quick's solid goaltending makes the Under a strong play in this game. To me, it seems like the Kings are just limping to the finish line now, whereas the Coyotes are playing hard, trying to finish as strong as possible. They'll come out every bit as confident as they were wednesday @ COL.
ANA @ VAN (-165)
- Both teams surging right now, going 8-2 in their last 10 games. ANA has a tough final 5 games (VAN, @SJ, SJ, DAL, @PHX) and they need every win possible in fighting it out for the 7th/8th spots in the west. However, Vancouver hasn't lost at home since January, going 11-0 in that stretch, outscoring opponents 42-18) with Luongo in net. Giguere is scheduled to be in net for ANA, after only facing VAN once this year, being pulled halfway through the game after letting in 4 goals on 13 shots in October. I think Vancouver will light up Giguere again...
NYR @ CAR (-150), UNDER 5.5
- A weak road team vs a strong home team. Carolina hasn't lost at home since Feb 17 vs BOS (9-0 in that span and outscoring opponents 35-13). This is an important game for both teams, who are currently 6th/7th in the East. Only 4 points seperates 4th from 8th place, and no one wants to be seeded 7th/8th and have to face BOS/WAS in the first round. The home team has won all 3 games this season, and in the last game, Cam Ward recorded a shutout.
