The defensive philosophy of both teams point to the under tonight in LA where the Kings host the Islanders.
Ted Nolan's 0-2 Islanders prepare to play their third game of the season Tuesday night against Marc Crawford's LA Kings. Both teams' philosophies center around an aggressive fore-checking system, and disciplined defense that looks to spring the offense up ice in transition thanks, in part, to a lack of overall offensive scoring punch.
With that said, play on the under. The under is 11-3-1 in the Isles' last 15 overall dating back to last season. The under is 8-2 in LA's last 10 against Eastern Conference foes. Goaltending matchup: Dipietro (NYI) vs Garon (LA).
