question about 'no ot' category with book
    gents,

question regarding some lines up at my book.

    nyr -130 for the game
nyr +125 for 3-way (no OT)

then i see nyr in a new category titled "NHL NO OT" that is listed as such

    -½ +145 -120
why take 3-way at +125 when i can take this 'no ot' -.5 for 20 cents more value? why is the line -120 for no ot when 3-way is +125? appreciate any insight.

I could be wrong but it looks like Rangers 3 way (NO OT) would mean a draw at the end of regulation results in a loss for you.

-120 for regulation time would mean the bet would push if it was a draw after regulation.

-130 obviously is for the game.

I see you're issue here. You're saying you can get Rangers -0.5 in regulation for +145 instead of Rangers +125 in the three way. I have seen odd things like that with soccer too though. I guess just take the +145 since it's like the 3 way.

ahhh yes the -120 is a push for me with 'no ot' bet, that makes sense. thanks for the help. and of course the +145 has to be the play before +125.
