I hate to say it but, JJ is right. Citizens are shot & killed everyday in places like NY, NJ & Cal and they still play their NHL games.

Is this a good thing?

JJ has no point. These aren't random, unrelated crimes resulting in a death. Until authorities have a better understanding of the situation (are there other shooters for one) it's the responsible thing to do. It's just a fukn' game, it can be made up. Games are postponed due to weather all the time; I think the possibility of death meets the criteria.

I'm expecting a big rebound game out of Pittsburgh's star players after last night's 3rd period disastrous play against Philadelphia. Malkin had five points (three goals) in two games played against DET last season.
Detroit is averaging just 2 goals per game this season...which is on the long run is not going to be enough when you play against high scoring teams like Penguins. One thing that DET has going for them and what have won them the games that they've won thus far is that they've only allowed 1.5 goals per game - not a bad stat to have...will it be sustainable on the long run? Probably not.
