Rocket is a daily poster for good or bad and it seems to me that you would want him to continue posting in order to keep up whatever segment of traffic he may generate. I'm guessing you spoke bad of the ownership/mods at some point and this is some sort of retribution. Be honest with you as much as I've enjoyed reading threads here and participating in contests, I think this will be my last year of Pro membership. Good luck on whatever comes of this Rocket, sometimes there are better alternatives out there than SBR.

Yea I know folks don't give a sh1t what I do but I really liked this place when I joined. I instantly shipped the 200 to the now defunct Legendz to go Pro and support the site. Had a blast playing in BTP and sweating out occasional pre season nba games and such but reading some posts around here now have personally not been as enjoyable or anything I wanna really be apart of. The freebies are awesome but the community is what makes you come back everyday. Don't see that much now, nothing but thieves and people looking to tear each other down, including moderators.

When I first stumbled on this site many years ago it was much different, or at least it seems that way. There was a good number of stable posters. I don't think the volume of posting has dropped off at all, but it is much more a revolving door. You see some of those quality guys come back for a few months at a time, but they're gone just as fast. A lot less value IMO now because I can't decide if a poster is a worthy one to fade/tail after such a short time. The second someone establishes them self as a solid person to tail or offers valuable insight, they are often run off by trolls. Same with those who are perpetual losers.

Good points SJM. I tend not to reminisce about the past personally because I understand forums tend to change quite frequently much as you stated above. I don't "wish" for the old days or anything but the current atmosphere is simply not that enjoyable for me. Everyone has their own reasons for joining up on gambling sites. Some try and use it as a platform for touting, others use it for bits of information, some simply like the social function because hey lets be honest saying you're a gambler to your friends/family isn't always a fun prospect so it's nice to have a place to talk with like minded individuals.


Personally I love the rush of smashing a game and being sarcastic, both of which do not translate very well in an environment such as this currently. I honestly could not speak to the quality of picks here now to when I joined but like I said I had a different reason for joining.


I think the riff raff is hilarious at times but in all honesty I do not care if Rocket is a pimple faced 400lb fat kid as long as he's respectful to me he's okay in my book. The forums now certainly seem more oriented on taking down whatever personality is dominate than talking games and cutting up.
