Sure thing - I don't touch teams that are average or suck...so I can't tell you much about that Sens-Sabres game...I just played the Under 5.5 (not with real $ though)...Buffalo trending back to Unders like for a 1-month stretch in 2014.

I don't know how to "cap" to be honest - I just write down a line that I think it should be - then decide if it's worth playing...I look at trends, stats, a little news.

I imagine you don't bet many high juice games either.

I'm a little perplexed as to why Oilers Under 2.5 is at -155...I think -170 is even reasonable.

Blues -1 at -195 is unbettable for me...though I don't see them losing tonight...still contemplating AZ Under 2.5 at -185, but likely a pass unless it comes down to -175

Kinda funny you say that - I hardly ever bet plus money...last night had Hawks -1 at -190 and Oilers TT (U 1.5) for +150 - the Under 2.5 was not available for my book, so I couldn't pound that...at least I didn't play the ML for Hawks, but it still stung...tomorrow I plan to hit the Hawks again at -1 though...they have an 8-game homestand...may chase...they are too good.

And I NEVER play a team at -1.5...seems whenever I lean that way, the team wins by 1 goal...would rather pay a bit more juice.

I really think the best play I have tonight is Oilers TT (U 2.5) - it's juicy, but reasonable...just hope Isles don't score 5 by the end of the 2nd period and then Edmonton gets meaningless goals....I can see a 4-1 game or so.

If you were on the right side every time & losing by .5 (the hook), then I would agree with this. But you also have to account for all the games where you lost outright.
That's why I have always found there to be more value in ML dogs than -1.5 favourites when betting NHL.

I had the Sharks at -1.5 aswell as the ML when they played Edmonton at home,the Sharks had a 4-3 lead late in the 3rd thought I had a really good chance of them potting another,as luck would have it,they blow that game completely.
