      Haha...

I'm not sure if I buy into the whole cliche "Addition by subtraction" or "You are only as strong as your weakest link" bit, but according to Dean Lombardi and Terry Murray, Patrick O'Sullivan had a serious attitude problem and dogged it a bit out there. I always liked the guy, but I'm not on the locker room, so what do I know?

The Kings had lost 4 straight before the trade and 6 of their last 7, essentially taking themselves out of the playoff hunt in the West. But since trading O'Sullivan (for Justin Williams, who was injured when acquired and thus can't play yet), the Kings seem to have found new life. Teddy Purcell and Oscar Moller have both done an excellent job picking up the scoring slack. Erik Ersberg has been great in net too, single-handedly stealing the Kings a point against San Jose.

Since the trade the Kings are 3 - 1 - 1, all 3 wins at home. The regulation loss to Vancouver was tied in the 3rd before the Kings let it slip away, and the Sharks (with Nabokov and Blake back) took 7 rounds of the shootout to beat them.

5 straight competitive games and a hot goalie at home against a team that has lost 3 of their last 4? LT could do worse.
