Been thinking about this game since yesterday and although I am a degenerate action junkie, couldn't really justify laying either side as I thought it to be basically a coin flip, no value either way (well i think there is some value in backing Quick, the more experienced goaltender but from what I've been reading seems like most are putting too much emphasis on Quick as Gibson has shown he can play and the Ducks are on home ice).
So I was just looking at the +/- for the series and noticed that Perry & Getzlaf are both -3. Now it's just a stat and of course there are mitigating factors but it tells me that LA has done rather successfully what every team should try to do against Anaheim, that is neutralize their devastating top line.
If you look at the Kings stats, most of their star players are positive in the +/- stat. (note: I am not a Kings fan nor do I watch any of their games but I know of Kopitar and Gaborik just through media mentions).
