At +165, how are the Habs not the play tonight? They won 3 of the 4 meetings during the season. Sure, it's the playoffs but +165 seems generous for a team that has an opportunity to win the series.

because boston is the better team, at home, and regular season games from the fall/winter of 2013 have no bearing on tonight?

They are the better team. But I think there is value on the play.

Habs coming off an 8 day lay-off playing in Boston. Detroit went 3-1 against Boston in the regular season, how'd that play out? I see no value at all on the Habs tonight. If you have the balls to play a team in their position tonight against the Cup favorite at home, god bless and good luck. I'll be eating whatever juice there is a playing Boston.

People need to understand the rivalry to understand that it has NOTHING to do with the best team being favorite. Each time they meet it's a real coin flip. Everyone loses their temper, the game is all about momentum. Look at how Lucic flips out vs Emelin or how Subban can get under their skin. Marchand is like super sayian mode vs Montreal however he might not be there tonight.

This will be the best series, will end in 7 games, no idea for who. It will be bloody, player gonna get hurt and it will end in a riot.

I took mtl +1 at +100 for first game, Boston way too pricey (<- see what I did there).

                Oh,

Another point to anyone that thinks "boston is favorite for the cup". This is just wrong. The west has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tougher matchup. Send NYR, PHI and DET to the west and there is no way they make playoff. We had the worst team possible. Put SJS in the east and they would have 140 pts +. Any team making the playoff in the west is favorite over Boston.

The same reason Detroit wasn't the play 4 out of the 5 games they played against Boston

I disagree...Besides Chicago who is hurting...which other team can roll 4 lines of pure fury and punishment? not to mention Paille is back anchoring the energy line, and B's may get Seidenberg, even tho they seem fine without him for now.

Boston can out muscle any team, not to mention they made the best add-ons in the off season. Bruins woulda owned avs, wild, and the stars for starters.

To say with conviction that boston wouldnt last in the west and cant out-work montreal in every facet of this series is laughable

Bruins should be the play on game 2

Agreed. I am worried the price will be outrageous though.

My tip : If you want to make money, stop trying to figure out the money line and just go for the value. I think that montreal is underated Boston is overrated. Like I stated before the eastern conference has basically 4 good teams. Next game the lines should be even worst in favor of boston. I do think that they will win but I'd take montreal at +1.5 if it's at something like -120/-130. Taking Boston at -180 for ML is completly - uterly - retarded. Rask is 0 - 9 at TD garden vs MTL. Price/PK stole the show. MTL played basically their worst game of the playoff... which is totally understandable after 9 days off. I expect a much more tight/close game for game 2.

The pressure is on Boston, can't wait for game 2.

took boston when +650 2nd intermission.

                                  took shot at the house.

                                  man, oh man.

                                  so close, yet no cigar.

Nice try though! Boston are crazy good in the third. Meanwhile, even if the CH is like 34-0-3 they always give up their lead for some reason... and end up winning. BOL next time!
