Why:The Colorado Avalanche are on a hot streak, winning their last 3 and host the struggling Calgary Flames tonight who are having a hard time finding the back of the net. The Avalanches will be hoping that Nathan MacKinnon keeps up his red hot form, MacKinnon, selected with the No. 1 overall pick in July's draft, has four goals and an assist as the Avalanche (26-11-4) have gone 3-0-1 on their seven-game homestand. MacKinnon alone will be a handful for the flames and they don’t have the firepower to keep up in this one. Avalanche will be too good and have too much fire power to for the Flames.

I'd even go with the PL. Calgary has scored 1 goal in 4 games. I think Colorado can dominate this game with ease. We will see

On second thought, Colorado struggles to cover the spread at home. I think the M/L is safer like you posted.
