I'm going to disagree that it was shocking. This team was expected to contend for the Cup but instead are in a complete free fall and are probably not going to make the playoffs. And to top it all off that game last night in Toronto was embarrasing and clearly the last straw. It's clear he's lost the team. Stories out of Pittsburgh was that he was not very well received last year, but the team was good enough to overcome the disension. That is not the case this year.Comment -

Not that I thought he was completely to blame, or he necessarily did a bad job. But something needed to be done, and firing the coach is the easiest thing to do.Comment
