NHL Futures to Win the Cup - Discussion Thread
Just placed second round of futures for the Stanley Cup.

    $50 on COL(+1200) pays $650
$50 on TOR(+1200) pays $650 (also have previous plays on Leafs from pre-season for both Conference win and Cup win. They were +800 and +1600 respectively).

Is this their year to bully the east?!

When Burked got hired in Toronto in 2008 and picked up Phil Kessel I predicted that his build would take 6 years and they would win the Cup in 2014. Bin sayin' it for years, and now it's time to put my money where my mouth is. They are looking sharp early in the season and with Bolland/Bernier/Clarkson/Raymond all coming in HOT they definitely have a cup contending team in my opinion.

I'm happy to sprinkle bits here and there on their futures throughout the season as the price fluctuates.

Anyone else got futures going? Could squeeze one or two more in to make it a 3 or 4 way.. but wanna hear some discussion!

Who wins the East/West this year?! and who' steals the Cup?!

I know it's early in the season, but the Leafs are the highest scoring team in the East(4th in league). That is saying a lot when you've got Crosby and the boys down in Pittsburgh.

Leafs are also allowing the 3rd fewest goals in the east (7th in league).

Again, I know it's mega early to be planning parades. BUT. Unlike previous (more recent) years, I trust this team.. They don't seem flukey, or shaky at all and they've got the experience and confidence to make a strong push in the play-offs with 2-cup winning Bolland to hold them down in the locker room.

That huge let down in the playoffs last year will only serve to harden them this year going into the playoffs, they won't be letting off the pedal for a second.

    Loving watching this unfold

Needless to say, I figure it's about time the SBR gents' get a discussion going to see who's on what and if some value lines come out throughout the season during slumps or w/e.
