Showtime, I didn't really look into the Hawks/Blues game, I saw the 6 and it didn't appeal. Interesting stats you gave though .

Jaymac,

I know you don't dig unders but take a look at the rookies/sophomores under of 249.

The game has been over 250 only once(cp3 year) in the last 4 years and remember that they play two 20 minute halves in this game...not four 12 min q's

On a brighter note, most teams score a larger percentage of their goals in the 3rd period. I know the Rangers and Thrashers, which doesn't help you here, score nearly 50% of their goals in the 3rd period and OT. Just a little morale boosting info.

djpremier, I saw that trend. I like where your going there, and I have been thinking about it. especially when I found out they play it like a college game instead of NBA clocks. Which makes it even harder to score that many.

also this game should not be 2-1 right now. Osgood decided to make a couple good saves. Wings hit the post. Just need the shots to fall in the 3rd.

Do those stats sound right Andy? I randomly heard it watching a Rangers/Thrashers game earlier in the year. Maybe I should do some research before posting these asinine stats....

Ram , i'm sure more goals are scored in third period if only because of the empty netters. Thrashers always turn up in the 3rd period lol, usually too late.
