I don't think Hockey is fixed, but the line makers are getting really good at it. I don't know one person who wasn't surprised to see PIT/PHI total set at 5.5 with no juice on the over.

This post makes so sense....none of these teams were favorites and most lines had juice on the unders....and even if these teams were the favorite how does the favorite winning make NHL fixed? Boston Puckline ranged between +160 and +169 and they didnt cover....must be fixed??

This is sort of just how hockey goes.. I'm guessing you have never played high level hockey. Not to mention the NHL is one of the most competitive of the major sports with the least separation between top to bottom teams.

Philly pittsburgh going under is very comparable to how the night before the caps rangers game went under. Two rivals who know each others game well, coming out motivated and rested. Coaches prepared well and the teams played tight checking games.

You do realize that if games were fixed then they would be easier to bet on and not harder, right? Then there would be a guaranteed winner and all you'd have to do is know which side the fix was in on.

that being said, and having played it at a moderately high level, there's not enough money floating around to pay off these kind of guys.

These guys also grow up playing hockey/ their sport of choice their whole life and would rather play the game then anything else. I have met several nhl players, and know 2 guys drafted out of calgary this year. They would never ever risk what they have achieved for a little extra cash. Perhaps some of the greediest players if the payout was beyond substantial but even then..
