    Penguins@Flyers Thursday Night
    Thoughts?

Penguins to win the 3rd period at 6/4 looks value.

All in on 1st period over. I think 15 of the last 16 meetings they've scored 2+ in the 1st period

I like the 1st period goals too pal. I am trading this match tomorrow, the lines has been set at sell goals at 1.5 sell at 1.7, im going to bump that up tomorrow to 1.7 and 1.9.

3rd period seems to be were the Penguins excel and were the Flyers offense shuts down. Always look for value in this game and 6/4 represents that for me.

Yep...Not so sure about the over (i am sure it will be juiced bad at 6), but the Pens should excel in both the 1st and the 3rd period. I don't expect it to be as dirty of a game as most will think...that will come later in the season. That being said, I would not go all in, as there has been a recent decline in their first meetings of the season as of late.

Pens / Flyers 1st game of the regular season history:

        2002 - Pens win 7-2 (3 1P goals)
        2003 - Draw 3-3 (3 1P goals)
        2005 - Draw 5-5 (3 1P goals)
        2006 - Pens win 4-0 (2 1P goals)
        2007 - Flyers win 3-1 (3 1P goals)
        2008 - Pens win 3-2 (0 1P goals)
        2009 - Pens win 5-4 (3 1P goals)
        2010 - Flyers win 3-2 (0 1P goals)
        2011 - Flyers win 3-2 (1 1P goal)

If there is ever a game to make live plays on, it is this one. When these two teams meet it is extremely evident what type of game we're about to witness.

Nice one pal. Agree on the over being juiced. Other markets have much more value. Pens to score 1st. Over 1.5 goals in the 1st period. Under 1.5 2nd period. Buy Pens win index 3rd period.

Pens when Fleury has started have outscored their opponents 9-0 in the 3rd period.
Flyers when Mason has started have yet to score a goal in the 3rd period.

haven't seen any lines, but Pens should be at least -200 maybe closer to -225 by gametime, flyers are lower than dogshit right now
and have the least physical lineup iced by the flyers in quite sometime...

...If pens take the 1P, I will probably play Flyers 2P ML also.

You will want to keep an eye on live lines too...buy the losing team when they're down a goal or two. There is usually a lot of back and forth when it comes to a lead between these two.

              1st Period
              - Pens (-0.5)
              - Over 1.5

              2nd Period

              - Flyers ML
              - Under 1.5 (if 1P goes over)

              3rd Period
              - Pens (-0.5)
              - Over 1.5

Honestly I don't think it matters for this game. You never know what's going to happen as far as a side winning the game. Value will be on the Flyers.

The Flyers have some absurd ability to really piss off the Pens, and when they break their minds, the Pens have a tendency to go to shit. The first sign you want to watch for is Malkin. Once he loses his shit, the rest will follow and the Pens will go downhill. If you see Sid getting scrappy, all bets are on the Flyers.

If the Flyers play the Pens game, the Pens should win by 3-4 goals, likely only allowint one or two. If the Pens play the Flyers game, it should end 6-5'ish one way or another. So ridiculous.

my book has 1st period over 1.5 = -120, period 2 over 1.5 = -160, period 3 over 1.5 = -160. Why is there 40 cents more juice on period 2 & 3 over ? I don't really remember any of the games between these two having any sort of feeling out period, usually there are powerplays and chances left right and centre the second the puck drops.

2P always has more juice than 1P. The 3rd mostly bc of the empty net goals.

Yeh, im trading this match live for www.sportingindex.com tonight. I dont do pre-match pricing for NHL but can always add my own add ons if i feel strongly enough about something but each period market only becomes live on our site after the first previous period ends, so will be able to feel out this match but i like all them plays you posted.
