There is no one on the team who is playing well. They are working hard, but there is absolutely no execution. Very fragile team, once one thing goes wrong, they let it snowball on them. Bad luck, and no confidence. Poor coaching, especially the powerplay situation. Just about everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong.Comment -
They are having a hard time scoring goals. 7 games in a row without scoring more then 2 goals, which you would think would be hard to do with Crosby and Malkin on the team, but they have absolutely no second hand scoring at this point. They also get very little offense from the blueline and it will probably stay that way until Gonchar returns. Their power play has been atrocious of late which is killing them since that seems to be their only opportunity to score. Defensively they haven't been that bad, but when it breaks down they get killed because they can't score enough right now to overcome any lapses. They have to get better, there is just to much talent on this team not to, but i don't think they will be better enough, consistently enough to be any serious threat this year.Comment -

Doesn't surprise me one bit.
Element & I have had previous discussions regarding the Penguins, I've maintained from day one that the Pens would have a bad year and that they wouldn't come close to their success from last year.

Better but not good enough, needs to take the positives (breakout, puck possession, pp, and goaltending), and fix the negatives (breakdowns in front of the net and pk).Originally posted by blittydeuceComment
