big blow to bruins defense. 3 of their top 6 are out. they are using rookie hamilton (already made D mistake against leafs double committing to guy right in front of net and leaving his guy open to score goal), ahl guy bartowski, ahl guy Krug. Bruins are going down tonight because Seidenberg, Ference, Redden out. take rangers. +110 has EV. you might win you might lose, but there is +Expected Value on rangers +110 in my opinion.

ps i am a bruins fan. i am betting against my own team. I have watched every single bruins game this season, regular season and playoffs.

oh and by the way, Rask is NOT Thomas. Thomas was totally dominant during the 2011 playoffs. 940 save%, 1.98 gaa in 25games. during 2011 regular season Thomas was .938 save% with 2.00gaa over 57 games. Rask is .916 save% and 2.57gaa career in playoffs.

Are they out just for this game? How do you feel about the entire series?

Hope OP doesn't mind me chipping in with my 2 cents - total under 5 sounds good - even if the Bruins do concede a couple, I just cannot see them scoring more than 3 goals on king Henrik in 1 game.

Bruins have had a lot of issues with their D currently due to injuries, but it has always been strong - don't let the fact that 2 of their starting defencemen play on the baby B's fool you - the guys in front of Rask are rock solid.

In addition - The Bruins penalty kill has evened out during the season (It was 90%+ at one point) but it's still one of the best in the league and the powerplay is still one of the worst.

1 thing to be concerned about is that the total went over in 2 of the last 3 games (I am only mentioning them as these are the 3 games they've played this season), however I believe that was a fluke and post-season hockey will be much different.

I personally am on the under - hope what I wrote above holds true during the game

day to day. i think rangers to win game 1 as well as the series. it kills me to say that, as i want the bruins to win, and as i would win 7000 if bruins win cup. I am rooting for bruins even though i think rangers will win.

Really like Richards under 2.5 shots -115 tonight. He's been on the 4th line the last two games.

the baby b's have the 2 worst +/- during season, and bartowski/hamilton are last among D in +/- in playoffs.

False alarm. I forgot the NHL doesn't follow any concussion testing protocol....

Bruins played much more aggressively the opening game. I think it is a carryover from the last series. They realize they were given a gift by Toronto. Not to say they didn't earn the win but they needed a spark. The overtime win against Toronto was it. I see them in the finals. They will beat New York in 5, taking the first two at home.
