The Blues played as good as they could and dominated the entire game. They still had to go to OT and have the Kings give them the game. Kings will win the series

Yes, but Quick had to stand on his head to keep the Kings in the game. If he doesn't continue to do that Blues will take it. He can do it, but he has not been as sharp this year and I just think there is a little less hunger on the Kings. Very hard to re-peat.

I agree that he is not as sharp this year and he did single handedly keep the kings in the game. However I expect his team mates to step it up like they did in the second half of the game. They were causing more turnovers and attacking more and I think that continues. Yes very hard to repeat especially when they would likely play the blackhawks next. Gonna be a fun one to watch

I agree I do think Kings take game 2. Then at home they have most home wins in league

When I said the Lakers could be a threat in the playoffs was more than a few weeks ago. It was when the team was still semi-healthy. I agree. Kings just got a power play and Quick makes a mistake behind the net and gives em that game. Kings looked better than the Blues most of that game and Quick was looking really good. I bet the series but was not sure about game one cuz it did seem like Blues were due for a win... im liking Kings game 2

Blues had over 40 shots and had a BUNCH of near goals that quick had to make excellent saves on to keep out. Blues were EASILY the better team in regulation. Kings came out looking better in overtime, but definitely not before that imo.

riff I agree I think they will be fine. Other than that big mistake Quick kept them in that game. About as bad as mid ice goal he gave up vs Phoenix in playoffs last year

"they will be fine" = hyping my team? I am being a realist. If I was just a homer hyper i'd say the Kings are winning the cup this year. I didn't even say they were gonna win game 1. I did say I liked them in 5 however.

I agree they didnt deserve to win the game. But why is it so hard to comprehend the fact that they played like shit and still pushed the Blues to the limit. Kings wont play that bad the entire series.

Kings won't, you're right. But Quick's not winning games for them two years in a row. I wouldn't expect so at least. He didn't have the best season and to carry a team to the Finals and then expect it to happen the next year is unrealistic. That's my philosophy on the matter anyways. I expect Quick to be good tonight though and a low scoring affair.

Yeah i think all these games should be low scoring. And yes I also agree that Quick hasnt been as sharp this year. But the rest of the guys will step up. You could see them starting to gel more throughout game 1 and im hoping that continues onto game 2. GL

I did not bet this series. I bet the first game, and I have Blues on a future, but I'm rooting for them regardless. They came into the playoffs hot and I know everyone is in love with LA since they won last year, but Blues have good goaltending and their defense is awesome. LA had that and look where it took them, so why not St. Louis?

Blues did improve with acquisitions at trade deadline. Teams about mirror images of each other. Other than mess up in OT Quick has looked good last few weeks.
