these are just talks. he is speculating on his twitter purely based scratches? bartowski and caron are scratched from bos regularly. iginla would go to pit/chi/la/bos. but no trade done. all teams are bidding and calgary could say close with another club to leverage better offer from pit/la/chi.

Because "Iginla would be good fit"? we know that. But how good is the offer? don't expect calgary to turn down better offer elsewhere. They could be getting close with boston to leverage better offer from pit/la/chi. Nothing official has been released by either club. benching iginla is protecting their asset. If he gets hurt they get nothing.
