I just took Pitt -.5 in reg at +119. Both teams on a B2B, but Boston coming off a Home win and now on the road. Teams in that situation this year have lost the road game 77% of the time (6 wins to 20 losses). Pitt on the other hand is on a B2B but both games are at home. They won the 1st one and teams in that situation this year have gone on to win the 2nd one 80% of the time (12 wins to 3 losses). Bruins are also worse in B2B situations this year than the Penguins so I'm taking the Penguins here in regulation (ML a little too juicy).

This pick is just based on statistics, this is by no means a lock but it is my favorite play of the day and I did put $67 on it. GL

thanks S&T. I keep a running excel spreadsheet on 2nd legs of B2B's. Keep track of where the first game was played and what the outcome was and then see what the outcome was on the 2nd game and where it was played. I have a pdf of it on the "2013 NHL Picks" thread but I haven't gotten to post the updated version in a week (will do so on Monday). Think it has some good insight though.

Sidenote, don't think Boston ML is a bad play either, talk about a lot of value for a good team. I'm just going with the spreadsheet stats here cause it has served me well so far.

Out for the rest of the day, GL everyone

no question about that. and if i see a trend that's hitting at an 80% rate I'm gonna play it every time. no reason not to.

GL with whatever ya'll play today.

Bruins are the best team in the eastern conference. They will beat pittsburgh today to prove it. Should have beaten them last time (up 2-0 entire game but collapsed last 6min).

Well, technically they're behind both Pitt and Montreal . Who's in first doesn't matter once the playoffs start, see #1 seeds lose all the time.
