Carolina @ Philadelphia : 3 minutes left in overtime, Philly turns the puck over on their blueline.. Carolina gets called for a phantom offside call (whilst breaking in 3 on 1) neither Staal's stick or the puck left the offensive zone.. Clear as day blown call, and the official was RIGHT ON THE BLUELINE. There was just no way refs were letting Carolina win without resistance

Im done betting this sport for good, it's as rigged as the NBA.

Technically that would be considered a hand pass in NHL rules I believe because it hit his glove and he may have "directed it towards his D" but the fact the refs called something that chincy in OT is a bit embarrassing. If I was a ref I would not call that unless it was a very blatant hand pass.

The NHL is the least "rigged" sport when compared to other major sports. The NSH-MIN call by the ref was terrible but to say it was rigged is laughable.

NHL is not rigged, and in general, probably has the best quality officiating of any major sport. It's not perfect by any means though.

Playing the puck with your hand off the face-off is a penalty. It isn't discretionary, like boarding or roughing, the refs are supposed to call it every time. It's a dumb rule that likely won't be around next year, but nothing about that call is blatantly wrong.

i think every sport to a certain extent is "rigged" but the nhl is nowhere even close to as rigged as the nba. its laughable how many retarded upsets you see, crazy ****** up calls where the refs take control of the game.
