Hello everyone. I am new to the community and decided to sign up and share my sports betting knowledge and picks with you. I am also here to learn so I would love to hear any outside analysis on any games. I live in Canada, however do work abroad. All my picks will be posted with lines I get from pinnacle.
We all have our own betting methods, and amounts. For the most part, I flat bet, but do vary my bet size depending on my own calculated edge on the game. For the purpose of tracking in this thread, I will be flat betting 1 unit on each game, no matter the odds. I rarely bet big dogs, or big favourites so it won't be much of an issue. My overall goal is simply to find long term value and soft lines of course.
If anybody wishes to have a constructive discussion with regards to any games in question I am definitely open to it. Please feel free to PM me any time. Thank you and good luck to everyone.

Saturday January 19th, 2013 NHL Picks:
NYR@BOS - Going with NYR ML @ +132
TOR@MTL - Going with TOR ML @ +128
CAR@FLA - Going with CAR ML @ +100
There is a lot of value on the Rangers here. I am not sold on Rask and his small sample size. A lot of public money on Boston. NYR also added Rick Nash who will make NYR a much more offensive threat.
TOR does have some questions in goal tending, but Ben Scrivens has been playing in the AHL and is in great form. Price has a lingering groin injury and will also be rusty. MTL will also be without their best D-man PK (open to debate). As a value standpoint, TOR is an excellent pick.
Finally, CAR@FLA, Carolina made some massive improvements, bringing in Jordan Staal and Alex Semin. Both bring an excellent offensive skillset. Jordan is an excellent defensive forward. This coupled with a solid goalie and an over rated Florida team makes Carolina a solid 3rd pick.
