Hey all, brand new to the boards. Been following for a few days and thought i'd go ahead and throw in some picks/leans. Like to provide some stats with my picks. So far, agree with ya'll in regards to the Canes @ Islanders Over. Islanders won all 4 games last year against the Canes, 3 of which went Over. Also, in the last 5 games the Islanders have given up 3 or more goals per game while the Canes have scored 3 or more goals in their last 4 games.

Leaning the Islanders ML here too. They owned the HTH last year and this will be Carolina's 5th straight road game, the last two of which went to overtime. The only thing that worries me is that the Islanders have struggled to score lately, recording 5 goals in the last 4 games. Hopefully they will be able to get their offense back on track at home against a below average D.

What are you thinking about the leafs game? I'm having trouble taking the leafs seeing as Philly has played them well lately

I'm new too but I've been coming here a little while to get different opinions. I'd advise everyone against taking Toronto tonight for several reasons. Obviously the HTH lately has been extremely lopsided as mentioned. Also the Leafs could be in for a letdown after a big emotional win vs. Montreal. On top of that the Flyers road record is skewed this early in the season, they've been a much different team lately than the one that started the season 2-6. Two of their 5 road losses were the backend of back to back games as well. Just some food for thought.

I actually came here looking for thoughts on the PHI/TOR game because I was leaning towards PHI -1.5 @ +265. Everyone has me hesitant now though and I may just avoid it.

Did anyone see the LEAFS/MTL game, they looked strong, maybe an emotional letdown to come but...
And Philly? This isn't the usual Flyer squad, they have sucked and have given up leads late in games.

BUT if we all want Philly, who am I to disagree....

Actually like the Under here more than anything. The Leafs have scored 12 goals in their last 3 games, but two of those games were against teams in the bottom 5 of GAA. Flyers G Bryzgalove has a 1.21 GAA all-time vs the Leafs, his best GAA against any opponent. Add that to the fact that Flyers have had trouble scoring lately (except against the Hurricanes) and I see this one staying close. With how the Flyers have owned this series I look for them to win this game, but that is a lean at best. With how the Leafs have played lately going against how they have been owned in the HTH against the Flyers, I will not be picking a ML here.

Flyers are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.

Toronto hasn't been good at home this year

Agree with you here. The Total in every game this season for the Calgary has been 5 or more (though 2 of those hit 5 because of shootout). Still, lots of goals being scored. Also, in the last 4 games against the Flames, MIN has allowed 2 or more goals in each game. Now, I see Chaosiam's point with the Under because the Wild have been unable to score, especially as of late, but with the 3rd goalie in for Calgary, and the 3rd to last PK% in the league along with the fact that every game the Flames have played in has hit at least 5, I like this one to go Over.

Like the LA/STL Under. Blues getting Halak back who has been great against the Kings, hope he's not rusty. Kings having some trouble scoring. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 3-1 or 4-1 win for the Blues here. Actually kinda like he Blues -1.5 here for +190

Well there has been so much speculation so I wouldnt be sure on anything anymore... Yeah I was early today. But after you have read here, whats your summary stars about Tor?

I dont want to add anymore spices to this soup, so I wont speculate the St. Louis-LA kings game. Too tough game to know. That´s why I picked in my ticket all three options so it doesent matter how it ends..
