Detroit's weakness is their defense but they are still one of the better possession teams in the NHL and do have scorers. I like St. Louis on the money line. Laying 1 1/2 scares me in any game but especially against the Red Wings. Good luck to you.Comment -
I like St.Louis here. Detroit lost big pieces in the offseason, while St.Louis got deeper. I'm taking St.Louis ML here my self. I would say St.Louis -1.5 is a stretch, I would take ML to allow for an OT or Shootout win if necessary.Comment -

-1 1/2 is crazy shit. Especially the first game of the year! Detroit has had many active players during the lockout (13) vs St Louis (11).
I would stay away from this game....
Detroits first line Datsyk, Zätterberg, Brunner will be extremely good! Z and B has played together for some time now so already gelled. Datsyk is a game genius so he will fill any spot and make them both better.Comment
