banner hangover will slow them down, chicago will come out hot. kane will score, he's hungry. towes healthy. there's no value in taking the kings, they may win but value isn't there.

Toews not skating at practice today so who knows if he'll play or not or even 100%

Saturday Play

PIT/PHI Over 5.5 (-120)

-First game of the new season, a nationally broadcast game on NBC and a huge rivalry game. You better believe Bettman wants a high scoring, exciting game to "get fans back on board." These teams hate each other as it is so I think there will be a ton of PP's. Word on the street is the refs will be cracking down hard on the obstruction calls this year so I expect the refs to set the precedence early, on what will be called a penalty. Again I believe that the D and goalies will take the longest to come around and get into game shape after a long layoff. Fleury did not play in Europe and with Mr. Universe you know an implosion is always a possibility. 6+ goals and 100+ PIM is what I'm expecting.

Also adding a couple plays I can't resist.

PIT/PHI Over 4.5 (-303) + WAS/TB Over 4.5 (-222) = (-107)

Lot of O/Us at 5 tomorrow which surprised me. We'll see if the NHL was serious about calling more obstruction to increase scoring.

Took all over tomorrow. Pit/Phi over 6, Wpg/Ott over 6, LA/Chi over 5 (Quick is questionable for this one), NYR/BOS over 5

I agree. The 5's are gonna go over more than under early on IMO.

There's gonna be half the players in great shape and half in not so great shape. Gonna be tough for teams to fully implement their traps early on until everyone's in full game shape.

A little jaded by the Millionaire vs Billionaire battle when I am hoping that I get a 2% raise from the FD but just having NBA to play sucks! Haha.

Yeah NBA was brutal I always would play player props for some reason. Guys would always get benched or injured and I would lose

I'm not too sure what US books offer the options for lower totals to be honest. I'm sure you could find one if you look around though. Maybe one with a lot of live betting would but I wouldn't worry that much as I'll have a lot of regular plays as well.
