It's that time of the year again.

I'm going to be posting my wagers for the ongoing World U20s. So far I have only made one wager, and it consists of Finland winning the tourney at +518 odds for 1x. At that price, a solid all-around team with one of the best goalies in the tournament has good value, and I believe it is worth a shot.

My first bet on a game will be USA-Germany Game Total Under 7.5, for 2x. This American squad has some serious skill at all positions, but watching them in the exhibition games, I didn't feel like they had found their offensive groove yet. I think they'll need a few more periods before that happens. John Gibson will be between the pipes for the USA. To me, he's probably the best goalie in the tourney ahead of Korpisalo and Subban. He'll be hard for German forwards to score on. A 4-1 or 5-1 final is what I envision.

I like it. I know nothing about this league but after seeing Germany just got whacked 9-3 in their last game the Over seems like the obvious choice so I'm going under

And of course after I lock in the under at +115 it jumps to +120

man I dunno. I want to bet on this so bad, but I just don't want to bet on the Under or the -5.5. I love betting hockey because I love to have something on it while I watch, but I absolutely suck at picking winners in this sport.

Totally sad considering we're signing up now to get tickets for the 2015 tourney in Canada

and they wonder why the tourney gets so many dates...
