Was wondering on the concept of preseason teasers again. last year was bad 4 me. i may be wrong, but i think that i was able to get down closer to game time on many books last year.


would any of the sharper guys here be willing to share their value for the -1 on a team around -7 average total.

i'm wondering if this sort of analysis is even relevant in preseason, considering the differences between the teams in terms of preseason objectives.

any thoughts?

might want to check the limits at BI for teasers LT. It might suprise you how low it is, but again all depends on your roll.

I think these might be drying up rather quickly this year. I wish some new shops would pop up for NFL, but I'm not seeing much.

Is that news? Thought it was -110 last year? Anyhow -110 is becoming the new norm. But there are still sites that give +180 for 3 and +300 for 4.

My fault for not being more specific. Until last year, CBB 5 pt. teasers were even money....and not bargain at that. I like BM, just thinking out loud that it would be nice to catch a break once in a while where pricing is concerned. Like how nice if 5 Dimes would give the reduced juice option earlier than game day.

I don't have an NFL database, but I just picked a random NFL Sunday (January 1, 2012).

Steelers -7 w/ total 33, ML -325
Saints -7 w/ total 54.5, ML -300
Eagles -7 w/ total 44, ML -320

And 33 to 54.5 is about as big a difference as you'll ever find.

It obviously matters but my simple point was just that pre-season teasers are all about dogs simply because there are no big favs
