Statfox uses a program where they track the movement of the spread (Ex. opener: -4 closer: -5 road team covers 16 times vs the home team covers 15 times) to see what % differerent spreads hit at.
They then combine the closing spread with the closing total and then list at what % this combination hits at.
I use this in my handicapping often but they update too slowly considering how fast and often lines move. I want to develop a program that would tell me at what % a play hits when for example the home team is -4 and the total is 184.
I am guessing I would first need to input all the spreads and totals over the last 3 seasons of a particular sport into a spreadsheet and then somehow find at what % a certain combination of spread/total hit at.
Can someone please tell me how I would go about doing this. Thanks.
