Point spread / totals system

Posted the following in the Service Plays thread and didnt recieve a response:

"Not trying to be cynical or negative, but if this system is based off of certain spreads (I am aware of the totals system as well) regardless of any angle on the game, don't you think Vegas would have adjusted for this when setting lines, assuming the system was at one point profitable? Is he just playing straight up numbers and not taking into account anything else?"

This is regarding the SB Professor's NBA picks.

Thoughts?
